Necesse is a roguelite-adventure builder game where you can build your own settlement, farm, fish, craft, trade, and go to war with competing settlements. The game is just seemingly massive, and you can get easily lost for hours playing. You can play Necesse solo or co-op from the start.

Gamers are instantly loving this builder game. An inside source revealed the game is quickly approaching 2,000,000 copies sold. It went on sale shortly after release and many of the more frugal gamers decided to bite. There did seem to be a bit of a refund bonanza for a quick period. That could have been general remorse after playing or gamers being upset that they just payed full price. Nonetheless, the game is already establishing a massive following with millions of gamers spending countless hours playing.

You'll need food and supplies. The game gives you the opportunity to mine for precious resources, and you can farm, fish, and even start an orchard. The gameplay feels massive, almost overwhelming, but you can play at your own pace and style. Due to the procedurally generated worlds, every game experience is different and there's an element of replayability.

The game enters into mythology with battles involving dragons and pirate kings. If you plan to go to war with these enemies, you will need to mine and craft weapons first. There are many dangers surrounding your settlement and you must be prepared. Necesse allows you to set traps, build fences, train non-player characters to help, and craft weaponry that suits your style.

Overall, the game has very positive ratings and many fans are comparing it to another well liked hit Core Keeper and even Terraria. Many gamers are glad that this game implements the ability to have your local villagers perform most of the boring or repetitive tasks like mining, farming, and chest sorting. There are also some wild boss battles but gamers have mostly said they weren't too difficult to beat.

In Necesse, you can explore a huge world of unique biomes. You'll need to gather resources however you can and then manage them efficiently. In the game, it's important to build a thriving village with NPC's (non-player characters) living there and helping with day to day tasks, essentially working for you. Then there's always the concern of outside threats which you must prepare for.

Necesse feels infinite, and it can quickly get out of hand if you're not being productive where it matters. The game has gone viral and it looks like developers are actively making improvements, so possibly expect a DLC at some point. The developer Fair Games Aps did a great job at creating a very large but cohesive and fun gameplay experience.
